Surge Protector

Surge Protector

I have one Surge Protector already for my Model S at home but I was wondering if I need it, really? I will be charging my car at one second location and I was wondering if I need it really, specially when the price went up from $300 2 years ago to $500 .. I have the Li-ion Guard. Any other alternatives?

Thank you :)

This seems totally unnecessary.

I've not read anything to suggest other owners have had problems. I think the car itself has the equivalent of onboard surge protection.

i read somewhere on tesla that the car has a system to prevent surges, and im sure the UMC has an equivalent redundant protection.

Dude, where you have found such the big prices??? It's not normal. As for me,surge protector is better to use in charging the tesla. It's safer and more covenient. If you want to but the second surge protector with the good price and high-quality, then you have at least to look at https://sevensevenreviews.com/best-surge-protector/,where there are a lot of information you need and the wide selection of them.
