New 0-60 times?

New 0-60 times?

So anybody willing to share new 0-60 times after latest update?

SmellyTuna | 4 novembre 2019

I would also like to know this, especially for my M3P+

Mike UpNorth_ | 4 novembre 2019

Early bump. Excited.

jb1120 | 4 novembre 2019

I’ve got my X-ICE tires on for the winter, so I don’t think a 0-60 time from my car will be of much help. Indeed, the tires sound like they are “giving way” a bit with full acceleration. It does feel/seem a slight bit snappier than before the update, though.

I was under the impression that the acceleration bump doesn’t apply to the performance model. Like the increased range doesn’t apply either.

As soon as I get the update I will retake 0-60 and share. 3.36 sec from stop, 3.13 rolling are my best times so far.

kevin_rf | 4 novembre 2019

I'll be game, but I never take my car out of chill

M-A-B-MCMLXXX | 4 novembre 2019

@howard
You may be right, but that would be peculiar.

SmellyTuna | 4 novembre 2019

@Howard hmmmm...yes, you could be right, but that’s not how I interpreted it. I guess we’ll find out soon.

From TMC forums a user who consistently got 3.2 before is now consistently getting 3.1 in his P3. So it's looking to possibly be roughly a 1/10th of a second from early data. 1/4 mile times could be more interesting though, possibly shaving off more than that. We need a broad roll-out to get more sample size but it looks like Tesla is with-holding the update after a small percent got it over the weekend. Probably some bugs that were discovered and need to be fixed.

AWDTesla | 5 novembre 2019

The more power (again) updates are rolling out already?

howard | 5 novembre 2019

I would really like the extra range over the .1 second increase. What is the point? I don't drive my 3 that way.

AWDTesla | 5 novembre 2019

I do.

ODWms | 6 novembre 2019

I sure do.

bjrosen | 6 novembre 2019

What's the rev number of the update?

TickTock | 6 novembre 2019

2019.36.1

TickTock | 6 novembre 2019

While we're on the topic, anyone have a recommendation for a good *Android* app for characterizing this. Something like Dynolicious - except for Android.

bjrosen | 6 novembre 2019

I haven't gotten 36.1, I'm still on 2019.32.12.4. How many of you have received 36.1?

jebinc | 6 novembre 2019

Found this power curve chart on TMC. Looks like the bulk of the performance boost is post 40 mph.

I got 4.98 seconds 0-60 this morning on my LR RWD, using my OBDII adapter and scanmytesla. I think there was a slight uphill. :)

jebinc | 6 novembre 2019

^^^ And another TMC member's power curve chart.

lbowroom | 6 novembre 2019

I would think it’s normal for someone who bought the Performance to appreciate additional power over range. The power comes from additional current allowed, not released secret battery reserve.

howard | 6 novembre 2019

lbowroom, Let's see it is winter I am running winter wheels and tires. Foot to the floor will only result is wearing my winter tires down quicker. Since it is winter my available range is down in some cases near 50% so I would prefer the extra 12 miles being enabled on the non-performance AWD.

Just curious how many full out 0-60 blasts do you do daily? It must be alot to tell the difference. Oh, you probably need a hardware device to actually tell. Really!

What is your rated speed? How does 4.98s compare to your run on 12.x software? Any 40+ acceleration tests?

lbowroom | 6 novembre 2019

So it’s a bad thing

derotam | 6 novembre 2019

@jebinc: I think the RWD was spec'd at 5.0 but people were getting down to 4.6 I think. So I at least have proven that I meet spec.

This is on 2019.32.2 firmware and was my first actual metered 0-60. I just got my OBDII setup so that is how it is being measured. I am working on getting a log of various metrics to track over firmware changes...Discharge power curves, regen curves, 0-60 speed vs time and distance....etc. That way I can try and see and performance changes with different firmware versions.

jebinc | 6 novembre 2019

-@derotam

Sorry, I missed that. What OBDII setup did you go with and what did that setup set you back?

Anyone have "Draggy"?

derotam | 6 novembre 2019

The OBDLink MX+ was $79 on Amazon, and the adapter cable required to get it into the car was the HRN-CT20T1 from https://www.xtss.com/products/geotab-hrn-ct20t1 and it was $42 + $12 shipping.

I will note that there is another site https://www.gpstrackingamerica.com/shop/hrn-ct20t1/ that has the cable but note that they have a different cable whether your car is a 2018 or 2019 year. I don't know if there is really a difference though. Also, on this site the cable is $29 but shipping is $22. I went with the company that didn't gouge on shipping as much.

So total cost was $133.

-@derotam

Thanks for the information, above! What app do you use for your setup?

derotam | 6 novembre 2019

Ohh yeah, sorry.. ScanMyTesla https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emon.canbus.tesla&hl=e... it is only on Android right now... $10

derotam | 6 novembre 2019

Same app that Bjorn uses.

jebinc | 6 novembre 2019

^^^
iPhone XS user here :-(

dmastro | 6 novembre 2019

I think my 0-60 is generally about 8-9 seconds if I had to guess. I still accelerate at the same rate following all of the updates.

Camerenhackley | 9 novembre 2019

Seems like the newer update is getting sent to more people today, so bumping this thread to get some 0-60 times. I saw someone posted a performance 0-60 on YouTube recently.

lbowroom | 9 novembre 2019

I think 50 to 100 will see more change

tslafan99 | 5 décembre 2019

@derotam they have $10 flat rate shipping
