Flying electric taxis

Lilium, a secretive German startup promises efficient, low noise electric flying cars:

I know there are a plethora of these, but if these succeed, they could compete with Tesla one day!

It might work a little, and in some areas. But when weather can easily disrupt such a small vehicle like this, tunnels are probably a better option.

What could go wrong?

Weather will be a big constraint, for sure.

I worry about the idiots on the roads with one of these things

Flying cars would be eyesores if we have to look up at their undersides, cluttering the airspace above us.

Its not like they would be quiet either. Would much rather have silent tunnels.

Even Elon said flying cars is nonsense. Do you really want all that noise above you. Also, should there be an accident, guess where the wreckage goes.....

This is getting Boring

Yeah, I don't know. Once you start adding the potential energy of altitude to a human body, the danger lever really starts to climb. Then again, look at what a $20 drone toy can do in loops, homing and the like. But flying "cars".... I guess I'm too old-fashioned.
