Driver Side Headlight Goes Off Intermittantly

Driver Side Headlight Goes Off Intermittantly

While driving my 2014 S85 (124,000 miles) at night, I have noticed that the driver side headlight goes off. The car in the instrument cluster likewise shows the driver side headlight off. Tonight it happened again so I went to the Lights control on the touchscreen. By turning the Headlights off and then back on, the driver headlight came back on.

Do you think there is an issue with the wiring harness or is the headlight in the process of failing?

Your HID is starting to go out. They usually last 100-120k miles if they have never been replaced since you got it. Mine started to do the same at 105k. I'd recommend to replace both HID's at the same time. The bulbs are hard to get to, access is through the wheel well. Tesla can replace them pretty quickly, mine took an hour at SC. Will be roughly $337.50 for Tesla to replace both with parts & labor.
