Has anyone heard about or know the specifics on the Model 3 having an A/C plug or the capability to power an A/C inverter?
At the very least, it will be able to power an inverter, which you can do with any car, dependent on how much current you want to draw.
There has been no mention of a ye-olde style cigarette lighter 12V socket.
I hadn't even considered that a 12v might not be an option. Wouldn't hey need to include that to allow accessories like radar detectors?
Unless they can run on power supplied by USB alone. Tough titties otherwise.
At least some newer detectors take USB cables anyway (for updates), or for like 5-10 bucks you can get a USB->12v cig socket adapter I suppose and use one of the USB ports to power the 12v device.
Not mentioned on Tesla's M3 specs, but the breakdown on Electrek's website mentions 12V outlet: https://electrek.co/2017/07/29/tesla-model-3-production-specs-revealed/ Time will tell which one is correct, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't one.
