How many cars were there sold in 2014 total in the world? Is there any statistics dating back to lets say 2010?

How many have been sold in 2015 up to October?

Is there any place for looking this info, tried googling, but I am not very good at it.

Benz| 3 novembre 2015@ pooles

Cumulative total Tesla Model S deliveries:

2012 - 2,650

2013 - 22,477

2014 - 31,655

2015 - 21,577 (10,045+11,532)

Total so far: 78,359

Q3 2015 will be about 11,580.

And then the cumulative total will be close to 90,000.

Q4 2015 will be about 15,000 (that's just a guess).

And then the cumulative total will be higher than 100,000.

Benz| 3 novembre 2015Q3 2015 Shareholder Letter:

"During the quarter, we delivered 11,603 vehicles, slightly above the number estimated in our October announcement."

"In Q4, we plan to build 15,000 to 17,000 vehicles, and deliver 17,000 to 19,000 vehicles, which will result in 50,000 to 52,000

total deliveries for the year."

Cumulative total Tesla Model S deliveries:

2012 - 2,650

2013 - 22,477

2014 - 31,655

2015 - 33,180 (10,045 + 11,532 + 11,603)

Total so far: 89,962

In Q4 2015 there will probably be at least 15,000 Tesla Model S deliveries.

buddyroe| 3 novembre 2015They're saying 17,000 to 19,000 next qrtr. So, the total will be around 107,000 to 109,000.

And they will sell nearly that many next year alone.

Benz| 8 novembre 2015Q3 2015 Shareholder Letter:

"During the quarter, we delivered 11,603 vehicles, slightly above the number estimated in our October announcement."

That's a total of Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X vehicles.

Tesla Model S: 11,597

Tesla Model X: 6

Cumulative total Tesla Model S deliveries:

2012 - 2,650

2013 - 22,477

2014 - 31,655

2015 - 33,174 (10,045 + 11,532 + 11,597)

Total so far: 89,956

Benz| 10 novembre 2015Grinnin'.VA| 10 novembre 2015I expect Tesla to deliver about 48,000 cars to customers in 2015.

novozilov| 10 novembre 2015If Tesla would offer a portable generator on a small trailer, or mounted on a car bumper(may be), I think they would encrease demand for the car. Cyclon Power Technologies Inc (CYPW) has a good idea of a clean generator which you can also use to power your house in a blackout

Benz| 12 novembre 2015@ Grinnin

"I expect Tesla to deliver about 48,000 cars to customers in 2015."

That would still be an increase of more than 51% compared to 2014.

Grinnin'.VA| 12 novembre 2015@ Benz | November 12, 2015

[[ @ Grinnin

[[ "I expect ... about 48,000 cars to customers in 2015."

[[ That would still be an increase of more than 51% compared to 2014. ]]

^^ Yes, it would. Which is a rather hearty growth rate, but below Tesla's projection.

Brian H| 12 novembre 2015Novo. No towed generators. Ever.

Benz| 18 novembre 2015The 100,000th Tesla Model S will be delivered in December 2015.

That's in 30 months time (since June 2012).

When will the 200,000th Tesla Model S be delivered?

JuJoo| 18 novembre 2015@Benz: My guess is probably mid-to-late 2017.

Benz| 20 novembre 2015Cumulative total global Tesla Model S deliveries: 89,956

Cumulative total Tesla Model S deliveries in California: 23,006

2012: 1,230

2013: 8,330

2014: 6,110

2015: 7,336 (=Q1+Q2+Q3)

California has taken a significant portion of the cumulative global total: 25.57%

What can we expect in Q4 2015?

Benz| 22 novembre 2015If there will be 2,664 (or more) Tesla Model S deliveries in Q4 2015 in California, that will get them to an annual total of 10,000 (or more) Tesla Model S deliveries in one calender year, for the first time.

Benz| 27 novembre 2015VIN 117390 to be delivered early December in South California.

Benz| 29 novembre 2015If it all goes according to plan, then they really could realise at least 48,000 Tesla Model S deliveries in 2015. And that would already be an increase of more than 51% (compared to 2014).

If they realise 50,000 then that would be an increase of almost 58% (compared to 2014).

Grinnin'.VA| 30 novembre 2015@ Benz | November 29, 2015

\\ If it all goes according to plan, then they really could realise at least 48,000 Tesla Model S deliveries in 2015. ... an increase of more than 51%//

^^ Yes. That's a healthy growth rate, except that Tesla hoped to grow faster.

BTW, where did you get the 48,000 estimate for 2015 deliveries?

AFAIK, I was the first to post that estimate on Tesla's forums, based on my regression analysis of past sales data. Of course, a certain Tesla forum participant sometimes known as PD would probably denounce that estimate as meaningless since it involves extrapolation.

Time will tell.

For those who care, I hope Tesla exceeds my 48K estimate. The more, the better.

Benz| 7 dicembre 2015@ Grinnin

2015 - 33,174 (10,045 + 11,532 + 11,597)

+ 15,000

= 48,174

Benz| 3 gennaio 2016Cumulative total Tesla Model S deliveries:

2014 - 31,655

2015 - 33,174 (10,045 + 11,532 + 11,597)

Total so far: 89,956

Q4 2015 = 17,192 (Official number to be announced in February 2016)

Total 2015 = 10,045 + 11,532 + 11,597 + 17,192 = 50,366

2012 - 2,650

2013 - 22,477

2014 - 31,655

2015 - 50,366

Total = 107,148 Tesla Model S

And also 214 Tesla Model X in 2015

Benz| 6 gennaio 2016According to Inside EVs there were 25,700 Tesla Model S deliveries in North America (the US + Canada) in 2015, that's more than 51% of the total global Tesla Model S deliveries in 2015 (50,366).

Benz| 16 gennaio 2016In January 2016 There will not be many Tesla Model S deliveries.

Red Sage ca us| 9 febbraio 2016Benz: Heh. That's about 20,000 more than Chevrolet had sold of the Volt through 2015 since 2011.

compchat| 9 febbraio 2016The graph looks like my electric bill from SDG$E over the past couple years. Price per kWh keeps increasing and so does my usage :(

Benz| 13 febbraio 2016Cumulative total Tesla Model S deliveries:

2012 - 2,650

2013 - 22,477

2014 - 31,655

2015 - 33,174 (10,045 + 11,532 + 11,597)

Total so far: 89,956

Q4 2015 = 17,272 Model S + 206 Model X (Official numbers announced in February 2016).

Total 2015 = 10,045 + 11,532 + 11,597 + 17,272 = 50,446

2012 - 2,650

2013 - 22,477

2014 - 31,655

2015 - 50,446

Total = 107,228 Tesla Model S

And also 212 Tesla Model X in 2015 (Q3=6, Q4=206)

Benz| 24 maggio 20162016 Q1 deliveries consisted of 12,420 Model S vehicles and 2,400 Model X vehicles.

Benz| 26 maggio 2016Q1 2016 Shareholder Letter (May 4th, 2016):

"During the quarter, we delivered 14,810 vehicles, almost the same as what we estimated in our April announcement."

That's 10 less than previously announced in the first week of April 2016.

But we don't know if it's 10 less Model Ses, or 10 less Model Xes, or a mix of both.

Therefore, let's stick to the April numbers.

2012 - 2,650

2013 - 22,477

2014 - 31,655

2015 - 50,446

2016 - 12,420

Total Tesla Model S deliveries = 119,648

Brian H| 26 maggio 2016The original post question was about total world vehicles, all types.

Rushabhjs| 28 agosto 2016Tesla Q2 deliveries were lower than anticipated at 14,370 vehicles, consisting of 9,745 Model S and 4,625 Model X

Total Tesla - 136,630

Seems 200K mark maybe Q1 2017 or even sooner

Red Sage ca us| 28 agosto 2016Rushabhjs: I suspect that worldwide sales of Tesla Model S will surpass that of Nissan LEAF about mid-year 2017.

vperl| 28 agosto 2016Nine months and every few weeks the reports of a higher volume production of the Model X is announced, and nothing happens.

Almost a year ago Tesla had about 35 K. Model X reserved. Ten months later less than 40% of the Model X Delivered.

ivieira000| 23 ottobre 2019Hi, anyone knows where can I find the average % sales in the U.S. and China?

andy.connor.e| 24 ottobre 2019Look it up and find it if you want it. Its public info.

mitchingiahung| 28 ottobre 2019The question is the total number of vehicles sold in 2014 and 2015, so what is being said is the sum of all car brands sold worldwide.
