What Song Do You Play To Show Off The Sound System?
The song I've been using is Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight (Love the 80's)
Moving in Stereo.. The Cars. (or at least that is what I plan to play when I pickup my M3 tomorrow)
Play "Alright Now" by Free. Turn it up, and put the bass at highest setting. You will get a new heartbeat:-)
Speaking of 80's..
Lisa Lisa- I wonder if I take you home :)
Pink Floyd- Money
DMX - Party Up
Rob Zombie - Dragula
Party up. That's the sound track of waiting for your model 3. Arg.
In college (estimate my age from the following) a sales guy sold me a pair of speakers by cranking "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer. I bought them. I'll try it Saturday when we get our car!
Sir Mix A Lot
'Cause I'm long, and I'm strong
And I'm down to get the friction on
So, ladies (yeah) Ladies (yeah)
If you want to role in my Mercedes (yeah)
Then turn around, stick it out
Even white boys got to shout
Baby got back
TESLA not Mercedes (Hate there is no EDIT feature)
Dream by Beck but now wanna try Alright Now
BORN TO BE WILD
Phil Collins FTW here
Dvorak's New World Symphony (seriously, try it even if you are not a classical music buff - which I am not).
Do these songs show off the range of sound for the 3 or are they just favorite songs?
I love clean, classic rock guitar:
Europa by Santana
Eruption by Van Halen
Still Got the Blues for You by Gary Moore
Roundabout by Yes
It all depends where you are driving -
If I was driving anywhere near Wall Street, the windows would be down and the song would be "Short Shorts" by the Royal Teens (on repeat) with volume on 11
Tribute to the King
Moments in Love
Harder Better Faster
Under the Bridge
Anything by Pauline Black
Anything by Sade
Anything by Annie Lennox
Anything by Cyndi Lauper
I had a friend ask me to play Carmina Burana to test it out, and I have to say that is pretty good test for range
Neon Trees - Moving In The Dark
Ain't Nothing But A Gangster Party - 2Pac
The Best Of Marcel Marceao

OOOOOOOO! Good one! Great bass line in that song!
I Ain't Done by Andy Mineo
Danger! High Voltage by Electric Six feat. Jack White
Anything off Metallica's "Hardwired to Self Destruct" album shows off the ability to recreate crisp drums and nice bass response.
Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" has a nice range of sounds once you tune the EQs for metal.
I have yet to load up Apocalyptica to check for warm midrange. Really any acoustic cello recording is a great way to let a stereo brag about it's mid range, but the recording quality on a lot of Apocalyptica's later albums is phenomenal.
I don't think the sound system is the best for Hard Rock and Metal though. I'm having issues getting the midrange and treble balanced right. I think they tuned it for EDM and Pop. If you just hit the "Tesla Owners Favorites" on the Streaming app, a lot of those songs show off the stereo in ways i think most people would appreciate. A lot of bass heavy synth and mid range vocals.
Stevie Ray Vaughn's version of "Littlewing". You can actually press the right steering wheel button and say "Play Stevie Ray Vaughn's Littlewing". It has a great range of both sound and emotion. Helped me through rush hour today.
I Can Hear Music - - Beach Boys
I don't know how many people listen to Korean Music, but for those that do I'll be using the following when I'm driving my Model 3! :)
Jay Park - Upside Down
Blackpink - 뚜두뚜두 (DDU-DU DDU-DU)
BTS - Fake Love
BTS - Dope
BTS - DNA
Zico - Bermuda Triangle
MILLIC - PARADISE (FEAT. FANXY CHILD)
Day6 - Shoot Me
I got more in my playlist I've been trying to create via Apple Music.
How about “pump it up” by Elvis Costello
If you want to show how low the sub can go, "Forever" by Angelina will bottom out inferior systems.
Whatever it takes by imagine dragons
Hotel California, "Hell Freezes Over", The Eagles, 1994
Awesome acoustic intro followed by Huuuuuuge bass drum smacks.
If you're lookin for love...try "This I swear" by Kenny Vance
Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots
Everything! It makes driving in traffic from Inland Empire to Orange County a little better ;)
Jay-Z and Kanye West- Lift off.... "I'm suuuuuper chargeddd, I'm about to take this whole thing to Mars!"
je ne regrette rien - Edith Piaf
spiritual gateway by markus schulz
Monster by Meek Mill
Thunder, by Imagine Dragons
toothbrush by DNCE
“You see me rolling in my Tesla,
I know that you think I’m too white and nerdy...”
Joke aside, good ol Chicago - Does anybody really knows what time it is
@jonathan.hall2: Good Call!
I haven't gotten mine yet, but I would say:
Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart by Marc Almond and Gene Pitney and
Josephina by Gene Loves Jezebel
Road to hell by Chris Rea
Hadn't thought about it till now, but I grew up in Jacksonville Florida, so the first song I play should probably be Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and after that, lots of classical for me these days
I'm going to play "This Girl" by Kungs vs Cookin' on 3 Burners. Yes, That is the real name of a real musical group. Pretty unusual name, but a good song.
