I was slated for pickup 9/24, got all my financing stuff done today. I get a call saying im delayed till 9/29. Anyone else from Chi have this issue?
Bummer. That going to mess up with your payment since you're financing? I took delivery in Highland Park without any delays.
No i don’t think so, I just gotta tell the lender the date changed I guess?
I was supposed to pick up from Westmont on 9/24, got the call to move to 9/28. This was about 4 hours after a VIN showed on my account. It’s gone now.
I’m in nj and mine was just put off a week. I figured it was due to the storm that they had delivery problems.
Damn I never even got my VIN
It’s probably better. Getting it and losing it suckssssss.
I'm scheduled for next Tuesday in Westmont. I'm told it's in transit to the Westmont now.
damn wtf! I should be there with you :[ what time are you picking up?
Late afternoon. Let’s be clear. I won’t be surprised if we are delayed as well.
delay by 1 week to 9/28 from 9/21
Hopefully you aren’t delayed, the struggle is real
Same here, rescheduled to 9/28, Westmont
So I guess the truck with our cars got pulled over
Same. Scheduled for 9/24. Delayed until 10/1.
I am scheduled for today at 12:30 in Westmont. I have a ViIN number. I contacted my customer experience specialist at Westmont two days ago he said I am on the schedule. No contract yet but reading posts on for him in the cage this is not unusual. Fingers crossed.
Correction to the previous post. Reading posts on this forum indicates it is not unusual to not have your contract before going into the showroom to pick up your car.
Not saying it's going to happen but sometimes they call you again and move it up a few day's. That's what happened with my delivery.
I got 9/26 delivery schedule at Westmont. I'm going to assume my delivery would be delayed as well. I was hoping Q3 push to hit financials would somehow make this happen. oh well!
I’m scheduled for Tuesday at Westmont. Yesterday Marcus at SC told me my car was in transit but was still in the state of California. I’m still on the schedule. We’ll see what happens.
Anyone here from Naperville? I was trying to pull an electrical permit for wall connector and got a weird note from the township... it basically said the transformer my home is on is at near capacity and I may have to share a portion of the cost for the upgrade if my requirement push transformer over its capacity.
I’m in aurora, haven’t had that issue for a permit.
Had the same issue in Ohio. Scheduled for 9/22 with my VIN. Now 9/30 and my VIN is gone.
Anyone fine a way to track this batch of 3's via VIN and their current location. Nothing on unitedroad.com. Scheduled for 9/25 and told it's in transit by the person I talked to yesterday, but he didn't tell me where it currently was.
I'm scheduled for Highland Park on 9/25, but I don't have a VIN yet (just completed all of the financing/trade in information last night). I'm expecting to be delayed though.
I am scheduled for 9/26 am at Westmont. I am really nervous now as I already took work off and since my wife is on the loan as well she had to take off as well. I will keep my fingers crossed, but I guess I shouldn't be to surprised if there is a delay!
Hopefully see some of you on Wed...
You better call Westmont before you go there to pick up your car. I was scheduled for pick up today, called Westmont, and was informed my new date is October 6. I did not receive an email, text, or phone call. Can you believe it? The Westmont delivery "specialist" said it was a "little logistical error". For what it's worth, the Chicago regional delivery manager looked into it and told me my car is currently on a lot in California. There are 1,000 cars scheduled for delivery to Chicagoland within the next week and 300 of those are slated for Westmont. They have to get each of those prepped so there's a chance that folks picking up in Westmont could get their cars before October 6.
I was scheduled for 7pm tonight and I just got a call that my car is still in transit. He said he hopes to have the car even as early as tonight but needs to have it inspected. He hopes we can reschedule for this Sat but doesn't want to officially schedule it until the car is on the premises. Hopefully it's not all bs. I'm a first day in store reservation holder so today marks 902 days of waiting....not that I'm counting....looks like at least a few more days. Brutal.
At least you got a call!
Hang in there, finish line is within sight.
Is it possible to move 1000 in a week?
This seems to be a common theme at this location. I have posted a couple of times about my delivery issues at the Westmont delivery center. My original delivery date was 8/18, drove all the way there (2 hours+) only to be told upon arrival that it was sent off the day BEFORE to have some issues fixed and they had no idea where it went or when it would be done. Delivery "specialist" Nathan 100% ghosted me and failed to help me in any fashion and I had to end up working with my ISA who shouldn't have even needed to be involved to keep status updates on my car because the Delivery center wouldn't return my calls or emails. Funny but if you call the sales department at the Westmont location they answer instantly, call the delivery department and good luck getting much more than an answering machine.
Just got the reschedule call 9/25 -->10/2 (offered 10/1, but couldn't do that)
Another reschedule call for Westmont 9/26 -> 10/1
I was rescheduled from 9/24 to 9/28 yesterday. Seeing those after Meyer original date moved back further has me wondering if they are just moving everyone down the line. I selfishly hope I don’t get shot down again. 300 cars arriving soon sounds good though!
*my not Meyer
Why would a VIN disappear if it’s just a delivery delay?
Some say it’s a system quirk where it won’t show before a certain timeframe...I say they just screwed up and assigned that VIN to someone else. Guess I’ll see once next week rolls around if I have the same one.
I was told yesterday that it appears exactly 7 days out. I was told after the reschedule that i still have the same vin
Today was my scheduled date. I called this morning to find out my car still in California. They called me back later, offered 7 PM on Saturday, September 29. I don’t want to accept a nighttime delivery because I want to look at the paint in daylight. My new delivery date is Monday, October 1 at noon. Note to Red Scooter: I live in Naperville.
@jcjoseph Looks like I'll be running into you and Red there that morning. I wonder how many deliveries they get done in a day. The delivery room only has space for two cars.
Same I I got pushed back to 9/29 5pm
@scjcne and @RedScooter OK. Here's the deal. The three of us will be at the showroom that day. Whoever is lucky enough to actually receive their car buys lunch for the other two.
@jcjoseph - deal; nice to meet another NPV owner. Did you do your outlet\wall unit?
@jcjoseph & @scjcne - what time is your schedule? mine is at 5 pm.
I posted this in another thread but I'll copy & paste it here. Short version: delays are common and their communication sucks. It's worth the wait though, so just keep yourself really busy until you're in the driver's seat!!
I picked mine up yesterday (8/29) at Westmont. I was originally scheduled for an 8/22 delivery but it was delayed a week due to some broken parts (Model 3 decals) they found inside the car.
The one week delay was hell, and honestly, they were not responsive to calls, voicemails, and emails. I literally wasn't sure while driving over there if I'd get the car or not because I had no confirmation that it was ready. I understand they're overwhelmed and always busy, but the customer service experience before delivery definitely needs improvement.

The car was flawless and the delivery experience went really well. The staff at Westmont was very nice & helpful. The delivery staff person encouraged me to look over the car for any issues and spend as much time as I needed. I noticed that they had 3 or 4 other deliveries scheduled that day too. It took literally 2 minutes to sign the paperwork then another 10 minutes to demonstrate the features.
I hung out for a little while after to set everything up and charge the battery further. It had 220 miles of range when I got there and I left with 250 miles of range.
I'm really happy & impressed with the car and have long forgotten all of the pre-delivery woes. I'd say just be patient and know that whatever issues you have to deal with are well worth it!
Also, three weeks later, the car is amazing and far beyond my expectations.
I had long forgotten the delivery experience until I read this thread.
@Red Scooter - I'm at noon on Oct 1. AWD, nonPerformance, EAP & FSD. My handyman put in the outlet in the garage.
I was scheduled for 8/24, they called day before and said truck broke down. I had to call to find out if it got there and when I could pick up. I had to push because of financing to get a delivery on 8/29 so not bad. I was trading in a car and everyday is an extra finance charge. Also, when I did pick up there was no sign with my name on it, no toy model 3 offered as I read about by other owners and they had wrong wheels on car! I ordered 19 inch sport and got 18 inch aero wheels. Took the car anyway and I am waiting for my sport wheels.
@jcjoseph who's your delivery advisor?
For those of you scheduled end of this month or early next, when did you place your order?
