I use the web-based trip planner ( regularly and find the interface somewhat clunky. Not sure if Tesla reads this but I don't think it would take much to make improvements.

1. When I use Google Maps on a desktop computer with a mouse, I normally zoom in and out with the scroll wheel. You can't do this on this web page. When you try, the screen goes grey and a message tells you to use the + and - links on the map. This is an easy fix at least on Google maps. It's a matter of settings. They can keep the + and - on the map for those who don't need it.

2. There needs to be a way you can set a personalized default for it to remember your Tesla model. It's a pain to go in each time and make the selection (Mine is a Model 3 LR).

3. In planning a long trip it chooses the best route and indicates the superchargers on the route, etc. That's great but I wish the list of the superchargers that are recommended along the way on the left panel of the screen were in a much smaller font so that more would show up in the panel without scrolling.

4. Google Maps allows you to drag a point along the way to another location so that you can manually re-route the trip. You can't do that on the Tesla map. The trip I am planning to MN takes me about 35 miles out of the way near the beginning of my trip.

I like for planning. I used to like to see where superchargers are located, but after they switched from Google maps to whatever they use now, map rendering is painfully slow.

My main gripe has been supercharger choice. It often chooses the closest supercharger when there are multiple potential stops. It is more optimal to get to a supercharger at a lower state of charge. The car charges much quicker at a lower state of charge. Thus if you get to the first supercharger at 80% SOC it will take longer than getting to the appropriate miles at the next supercharger at 20% and in fact can cut down on supercharging stops. A good compromise would be for the car to offer multiple supercharger options and allowing us to chose.

I like all the suggestions robert4 is making, and especially no's 3 & 4. There are many times when I want to change a route, or leg of a route, for nothing but esthetic reasons, and am not able to because Navigate sets the entire route based on a built-in algorithm. Lert's have an easy way to select or manage routes ala Google Maps.

Tesla Web-Based Trip needs to collaborate with the google map to improve its web-based interface. If they don't want this then they should try to improve their web page for the users that can 100% increase the traffic on their page. My company always take care of its users of the website that is because users are the only one that supports you to grow your business. While my company also give suggestion to bring the change on their site...
