Observations on renewables in area around Lake Constance

Observations on renewables in area around Lake Constance

Spent a couple of weeks in Europe exploring around lake constance.
Germany, Austria and Switzerland. (Also Bavaria, they act a lot like Texans and consider themselves different from regular germans)
My observations:
Never saw an EV except in Zurich (1 MS, 1 MX and 2 buttugly i3's)
Bavaria was covered with solar panels, even rural areas where barns seem to always be covered, but no EVs
Solar panels not common outside Bavaria
No homeless people
Everybody seemed productive and happy, despite their socialism and lack of "freedom"
Octoberfest lasts for 3 weeks, starting in September

Strange how that "not going bankrupt due to medical bills" brand of socialism is so popular.

I was in Munich/Innsbrook area last Christmas and saw many Model S on the road between the two cities. But no X and the 3s weren't being delivered yet.

@SamO: The same can be said about education. Free.

Germans value education, including vocational and see the societal value of providing it. Their brand of democratic socialism seems to work in much of the civilized world.

It's a beautiful area.
