I recently started taking longer trips with my Model S. On my first trip out I set my charge limit to 300 miles but didn't have time to get all of that loaded up before I had to depart. No problem though because the supercharger was on the way. I noticed that when I plugged in, the supercharger ramped up to and was delivering 300 amp - but within 10-15 minutes was consistently dropping power until it was down to 70 amp. Is this normal? This happened on three different occasions using two different supercharging stations and using different plug stations at those stations...
I want to ensure that the next time I go to a supercharger for a long trip it will actually charge to a full 300 miles in the 30 minutes it indicates on the dash. I fear that if the amperage continues to drop as it did the complete charge may never happen.
Thanks for any insights.
