130 mph, not bad. Also looked like the battery was fairly low.

need to keep the battery low to reduce the weight.

@aptwo: Good one. But by M=E/(C*C).. Let's see. Say you've got a 75 kW-hr battery. That's 75*3600*1000=270E6 Joules of energy removed from max charge to min. So, 260e6/(3e8*3e8) = change of mass of 3e-9 kilograms. Or 3 micrograms. Measurable on the right kind of laboratory scale, but less mass than a grain of dust :). Don't think that'll change the race times much.

You lose noticeable power below 90%. 95 to 100 is a wash, and 90-95 is almost the same, slight difference, but certainly there is power loss above ~45mph at 80% compared to 90, and more so as you go down. So your run at 50% was definitely gimped. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8NaZDIL6sI&t=259s

I understand I was low on battery and power but I'm also not delusional to think that I would have placed anywhere near the top contenders either. Max for this car is 233 km/hr. and even if I hit that in 1/2 mile ( I wouldnt'), there would have been 21 cars faster than that. 233Km/hr would have moved me from 35th place to 21.
I was just happy I wasn't the slowest and was able to have a couple of Audi S5's and Challenger RT below me :)
Its mostly Corvettes and Mustangs who trapped higher than me.

Anyone know what a Model 3Performance would have done here?

A model S with Ludicrous would have resulted in a top 10 placement. it would be about 50km/hr short of 1st place though.

Gee whizz!! 10th?
I had fun with a guy today in his souped up, crazy loud Mustang. I had passed him because I was just trying to get where I was going, which apparently he took it as a personal affront. He jumped out behind me, and I just pressed enough to keep him back.
Frustrated, at the next light, I guess he thought he’d have another go, and put me in my place. Again, I never floored it, and just frustrated him, staying half car length ahead, no matter how hard he tried to pass. It was hilarious.
These cars are so effortless. Amazing.

yes, 10th. Teslas cannot compete with Big V8 forced induction ,which most of those corvettes and mustangs had.

I don’t think anything “modified” should be qualified because that car is no longer what the respective car company made, yet people say, “.....a Honda beat a Camaro”.

LOL, not happening.
I was the only stock car there. When it comes to Motorsports, most if not close to all cars are modified in some way.

"You lose noticeable power below 90%" - Power doesn't really get noticeable till below 80% for me. Went to the drag strip and ran a 12.37 quarter mile in the same car as the OP at 85% SoC and stock 18" Michelins with aeros. This is about as fast as it gets with the Dual Motor 3's.
