I really do want to have a Windows 10 App from Tesla. PLEASE address the needs of this growing community. I realize that it may not be cool to be aligned with MSFT... but these days it's getting harder to ignore the need.
thanks.
Agree!
You've gota be kidding; the latest failure from a failing company.
This has to be a joke!
Microsoft isn't going anywhere and is definitely not "failing". It is still largest corporate OS and service manufacturer. I too hope for Win 10 app for Tesla.
Timo, it's 'to' not 'too' and Apple is the biggest anything computer company.
I, too, would love an official Windows 10 app. Maybe, with the implementation of the W10 universal app environment (one app runs on all W10 platforms including desktop, phone, and surface), Tesla will appreciate this approach and develop the app.
+1 Windows 10 app.
IDK, from my personal experience I've found Windows 10 to be too invasive, what with the 'WiFi Sense" auto on function and the hidden keylogger, it strikes me as something best left for later consumption when they've worked out the bugs.
I've failed to get Visible Tesla to run (either on Windows or Linux). At this point, I'm thinking I should just get an Android emulator running and use the official app.
@ray, it is "too" not "to", and Apple isn't biggest anything computer company. Biggest at some POV but tiny curiosity at other POV.
@JustAnAllusion: Lots of FUD around WiFi sense. It never gives out access to a network automatically. What it does is securely grant access to a network if one of your contacts has previously shared the access. And it limits the usage of that network to only access the internet. It does not allow access to any other resources on their local network, nor does it allow anyone on that network from accessing your computer.

There is also no keylogger.
After having the worst experience with Windows 8 of any operating system on any computer (and that includes every version of DOS and Windows ever issued and every version of the Macintosh OS since the 128K Mac, and Linus/Unix) I have ever used. I am not the least interested in Windows 10 or any other new version of Windows. I have sworn to switch to Linux or the Mac. Windows has become an excruciating and maddening user-interface experience for me and I have been a computer professional for 30 years.
I think Microsoft has lost its collective mind.
MS seems to do crappy OS with every other version:
XP good, Vista bad, Win7 good, Win8 disastrous, Win10 looks this far good.
I guess that is why they decided that there would not be any new versions anymore, only feature upgrades to Win10 :-)
I have found over the years that all OS pretty much do the same things, and anyone with average aptitude can easily learn to use any of them. Therefore, I have concluded that deep negative feelings about OS' are of little more merit than talking about favorite sports teams, beers, etc.
So, if you despise Windows, commentary to the negative is not constructive for us who use Windows Phone and would like a supported application.
My goal is different, wanting a device that interrupts all social media usage within say 100 feet with satanic shrieks and then heats it up and kills the phone. How much fun could you have with that? And you could make the world a far better place.
After searching through the store on my Windows Phone app, there are two apps that have been created for Tesla use, but they're not officially from Tesla.
This is surprising.
So, I agree. An official app needs to be created.
Whether or not your personal opinion on Windows, the fact remains that a portion of the population of Tesla owners use Windows.
Hopefully "soon" they will develop a Windows compatible version.
We need Windows 10 app, with the new UWP and Xamarin cross platform tools this is not a major investment for Tesla. There are folks who prefer Windows 10 Phone over iOS or Android, the decisions are not made by % market share.
Windows is dead.
Not going to happen - there are better things to put that energy in.
Windows is NOT dead. I would like this app one Windows 10 too so I can manage my car while I work.
It’s pretty clear Android and iOS are the preferred platforms for managing our cars. All it would take to get a Windows app, or for that matter a MacOS app, is an enterprising soul and a business model. How much would you be willing to pay for that app? Would you be willing to pay an annual subscription?
Sounds like a great idea. Windows 10 support would be welcomed. Windows 10 is a great OS and by far the best and Microsoft will keep making it better. Universal app would be the way to go Tesla.
I would like to see a window 10 Tesla Appl
I'd LOVE to see a Win10 app!
+1 A Windows 10 app would be awesome!
There are unofficial apps on Windows 10. For example https://www.teslacontrol.app.
excellent work and appearance
Oh, and I can see it now, ‘the blue screen of death’, viruses, spyware, adware, maybe we could get McAffee and Norton for the Tesla..... no thanks.
