Think about it. Tesla is only going to make EVs no matter what, but a lot of car companies are making both EVs and ICEs. We need their EVs to succeed! They have a lot of hurdles to overcome, and they need our help:
1) Other manufacturers have to sell their cars through dealers, and dealers always anti-sell EVs. We have all seen it. Dealers need to see us show up in numbers and say "no thanks" to the ICEs they push. And when you do close the sale, you can enjoy a nostalgic moment - ahhh, the old car dealership experience again!
2) They don't have a supercharger network. Poor guys are trying to sell electric SUVs with no travel capability. Nothing says impotent like an SUV that can't go anywhere. But come on, give it a try - it'll be fun - like the early adopter days in 2013. The range anxiety contributes to a sense of family adventure!
3) Other EVs just aren't as good as Teslas. But hey, it's getting there! They advertise themselves to be almost as good as a Tesla in every category. Except maybe range, and acceleration... but you don't really need those things in an electric car. We've had enough fun, it's time to make a sacrifice for the cause!
