Great. Some sentationalism at the beginning of the article, then talking on and on about legal stuff based solely on the perception of some individuals who clearly have no understanding of the technical aspects.
Also, this article is way too much focused on the US. The EU roads, and in fact EU drivers, are vastly different.
Should autonomous vehicles be legislated upon, I believe this should be worldwide. One country alone, even as big as the US is, is not representative in the slightest.
There are virtually no auto regulations I can think of that are legislated world-wide. Emissions, safety, position of mirrors and license plates, everything is different. At least with autonomous features most of the changes can simply be made in software.
