Child car seats / booster seats

Child car seats / booster seats

Has anybody had a chance to try out booster seats or child car seats in their newly delivered Model S? I have 3 kids under 8 yrs - I'm expecting to have at least one of them ride in the rear facing seats, but occasionally will need to fit 2 kids in the middle row (ages 2 and 6). It seems a bit tight to fit a car seat and/or booster seat and be able to buckle the kids comfortably (due to the inset seatbelt buckles and raised contour of the seats near the doors). If anybody has first-hand experience it would be great to hear before I finalize my order. Thanks!

If I can pack 3 boosters into the back of my Yaris, and also into my wife's godawful piece of feces BMW X3, I'd bet my very soul you can do it in the Model S.

We haven't received the child seats yet.

Our stage 1 car seat (Peg Perego) in the back seat of a production model for a test drive last week. Everything you would expect is there - latches, plenty of room, etc. The second stage one we have should fit in as there was more than enough room left over. When the second stage is rear facing we expect it to only take up another inch of space over the stage one.

Some more info on car seats on page 9 of the safety guide.

Three second row LATCH attachments for child seat installations (accommodates three child seats simultaneously: two with LATCH and one with top tether and belt)

Is that spam? Or copy-pasted spam? Doesn't read like an actual human being wrote it.

In your case installing a baby car seat will prove a little tricky but all that can be done with the help of a qualified technician who could determine the best infant car seat for your case. What you need to lay emphasis on is the correct installation. According to A poorly installed infant car seat offers little or no protection. Make sure to read more about the installation of your baby car seat before making the final step of buying the seat.
