Forsikring Model S

Hei

75% bonus. 20.000 Km

Hi
I recently received my dream, a Tesla Model S. When I insured it for If I got a surprise. Cost 13.600, - per year with a 70% bonus. I think it is reasonably expensive. Do others have the same experience or is it less expensive way to insure your car on ...?

Why are Norway threads showing up in the US forum?

It is in the general forum but a Norwegian posting concerning insurance cost. Should have been in English I agree so all could understand. Nevertheless, the OP is happy and saved thousands (in NOK 6:1 for USD) :-)

@txmodels
there is only one forum, when the forum is accessed from a different national web address, the headings are in that country's national language, but the forum entries are the same for everyone. When asking a question, it would be wise to ask in English to access to larger audience of potential answerers, but there is little the average US reader could add the a discussion of insurance prices in Norway. So I have no problem with the OP.

I think that it is perfectly acceptable that European owners use their own language to post questions and answers in their own language. I am sure that if they think they may need help from the English speaking community they have the language skills to post their comments/questions in English, (or one our the many dialects we have in the US.)

The insurance in the US for me was not any more expensive than other less expensive cars but I am not sure that my insurance company knew what the car was when they OK'd the coverage. I will know better once the first 1 year goes by and they redetermine the coverage.

Otherwise, we do receive other benefits here such as a rebate from the State that I live in and much less expensive registration for the electric car, like $20 total for two years. Also, the federal /US government taxes provide an additional generous deduction for the first 60000 cars that Tesla makes (I think that's the number) and it reduces our tax base by $7500.
