Chrome window strips falling off and cost

Had the car for a year; only 6000 miles. Chrome strip under window peeling off. Little worrisome to have things falling off the car after only 6000 miles in Southern California mild climate. SC charging for parts and labor and saying not covered by warranty or service plan. Have others had this problem and were you charged as well. I've read some posts where it seemed like Tesla didn't charge, but thought I'd check. Are others also now getting an initial $97.50 "diagnostic fee" that gets waived if something is under warranty?

Its free under warranty. I saw them fix screens out of warranty for free. The chrome strip you can fix yourself. Just push it back down. It kinda rotates and pulls off. Watch youtube video on it...I think rich rebuilds shows it on a door handle fix. Save everyones time and fix it yourself in 1 minute.
