How Much Paint Under-Spray is Normal?

Is paint "under-spray" even a word? I just picked up my M3 the other day. This picture is looking down on the left front door. Is this level of paint inside the fender about right? It's the same on the right front, also some on the trunk hinges. Or is it something to request Tesla to do over?

P.S. The white blob on the body is dried soap/wax
PPS. I posted this first to Reddit but it was instantly removed. I'm not sure what community standard I violated.

Yes, that’s normal.

Do you mean the white areas that look like they didn’t get enough paint? Yeah I’d take it back to have them do it right.

Magic 8 Ball | 05. mars 2020

Perfectly normal, it is done right. Areas are not cosmetic and areas are protected from corrosion with primary coat (primary function of paint).

Do not listen to FISHEV his intentions are evil.

Yes, insist on show car paint. Roll eyes. Also insist on dyno testing to prove range

Jambs and hinges aren’t fully covered by color, they are not bare metal. Sorry op, my snark isn’t for you.

Not for nothing, but I went and looked at my other car, full coverage in that spot. 2011 Optima.

Few people own more than one, let alone enough to define normalcy.

Normal or not it looks fine to me.

I'd show that picture to someone at Tesla. It's not normal but I don't know if it's worth the hassle of getting it painted now.

Just drive.

It’s normal. Mine is like that in both front doors.

"It’s normal. Mine is like that in both front doors."

Tesla might consider areas missing paint as "normal" no other mfg. does.

Funny, all other manufactures are reacting to Tesla and some are even learning.

Don't see anyone including Tesla promoting poor paint coverage.

Don't see Tesla racing to produce ICE vehicles.
