Breaking news: Black Tesla Roadster located in the middle of nowhere (Den Helder, The Netherlands)!!! Never expected this would happen any time soon.
Wot RU talking about? Links are much preferred to hints.
The point is that I had not expected to see a Tesla EV driving around in Den Helder, The Netherlands. What happened that day (February 1st, 2013) in Den Helder, was that I was waiting for a traffic light to go green, but suddenly I saw a black Tesla Roadster driving by. Before I could realise that I should be making a photo the black Tesla Roadster was already gone. Too bad. But the same day When I was driving in southern direction towards Alkmaar, I saw another orange Tesla Roadster driving in the opposite direction (towards Den Helder). So, actually that day was even more special, because I had seen 2 Tesla Roadsters.
I saw on the website of Tesla Motors that now there are only 7 Tesla Roadsters left to be sold. This number was higher before. And I checked the number of new cars that have been given a license plate in the whole month of January 2013, and I saw that one of them was a Tesla Roadster.
Yes, last I heard (a few months ago) was that there were about 150 Roadsters left in the EU to sell.
And now there are only 7 left to be sold. From about 150 a few months ago to 7 now, that's a good result for Tesla Motors, knowing that these Tesla Roadsters are pretty expensive cars.
I see Roadsters 'in the wild' in South Beach and along Biscayne Blvd here in Miami regularly, yet no Model S yet. Maybe Model S's hang out in the suburbs too much or blend in too well with the Jaguars and Aston-Martins so I miss spotting them...
