New Strange Noise After v7.0 Update

New Strange Noise After v7.0 Update

I've been hearing a bubbling/gurgling sound coming from the front part of the car behind/under/in the dash. I've tried to record the noise, but it is intermittent enough that it's hard to be ready to record it. I normally hear it when I'm at a stop or parked. And it sounds like water boiling or someone gargling mouthwash.

I've been looking around wondering if anyone else would post about it, but haven't seen anything.

I'm having a service guy come out in the morning to fix a few things, and I'll definitely bring it up to him. But in the meantime, has anyone else heard this noise after updating to 7.0? Does anyone know what it could be?

Thanks

Related to air conditioner?

In my attempts to isolate the problem I have turned off the AC, turned off the volume, and disconnected my Bluetooth. It's probably worth noting that I have only heard the noise while sitting inside of the car - although I have not gotten out while it was happening to find out if I can hear it from outside.

I went through the Teslatap noise list, and tried searching around but found nothing. I will definitely need to get a video of the sound so everyone can hear out for themselves. I've never heard anything like it in my car before. The first time I heard it was the morning of the 15th when the 7.0 update had just finished installing.

I noticed it today too while sitting in my car during lunch with the AC on, just got 7.0 yesterday. Sounded like a sump pump and it went away when I turned off the AC. Went off about every 30 seconds.

It's the ac/ac related. Pretty sure normal.

It is the a/c but there has been a change, in my view. A year ago the a/c made a similar sound but then it went away, though it seemed to me that the temp setting was off, so you'd need to set it at about 67 to get the temp down to 70-72. Seems to me v7 made the temp more accurate but that may be working the a/c compressor harder...so I get about the same result when I set the temp at say 73 as I did before when at 67 when I start he car in warm weather.

A month ago I noticed a Tesla car parked at the Tejon charger with a bunch of wires tied into the headrests...the Tesla driver said they were to test the actual cabin temperature against the temp shown on the display.

I've got this gurgling sound now too. By googling I've discovered several other threads with the same problem but nothing resolved. Anyone definitively know what gurgling sound is?

It's pretty embarrassing when someone is in the car.

It's time to revive this thread.

A couple weeks ago, I suddenly started hearing a sound that made me think I was in a very old Maxwell House Coffee commercial. I was sniffing for the smell of freshly brewed joe. But, alas, all I had were the sound effects of percolating coffee grounds coming from somewhere at the front of my cabin. It is unrelated to the speaker system as I could neither make it louder or softer with the volume control. CPO 2013 S85.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

My Model X is at the San Diego service center now. One of the main reasons I brought it in because I have repeatedly heard a gurgling/bubbling type sound coming from behind the dash. I thought they would surely know what I was referring to but my service tech and the person who called me on the phone acted as if they had never heard the complaint before. Does anyone know what is causing this noise?

The San Diego service center stated that they must replicate the noise. They have had my vehicle for one week now and haven't been able to replicate it. Hmmmmmmmm

Sounds like there may be air in the coolant lines. Let us know what they find out.

My Model S does that too, when I hear the bubbling noise I turn the fan on and the noise goes away. I think it’s either the blower motor or air mix motor issue.

Is this what you are hearing.

Every time I tell a service rep they don’t know what I am talking about. I just loaded this clip the other day but the problem has come and gone a few times.
