Just wondering peoples opinion about the brewing strait of Hormuz oil crisis.
Conservative estimates have oil prices rising to ~130 which may put gas prices up around $4 per gallon. Full scale conflict could potentially shutdown more than just Iran's oil output cutting a significant proportion of Persian Gulf oil production. This could potentially lift gas prices above $5 per gallon.
How much impact would rises of these sizes, or even just the coverage and potential risk of an oil crisis, have on sales of the Model S and other EVs?
A) A huge increase ~ doubling of rate of new orders
B) A small increase ~ 10% increase in orders
C). No change
D) None the above (please specify)
