Dupont Silicone Lubricant with Teflon on window seals?

Dupont Silicone Lubricant with Teflon on window seals?

Just bought a can of Silicone Lubricant with Teflon to use on the windows to prevent freezing, before I apply it has anyone here tried it? Are there any ill effects?

Yup. Use this product ourselves. Works great. Make sure you are in a well ventilated area as this stuff smells. Also use a washcloth paper towel to help spread the stuff around the door seals.

I always used “black magic wet tire” on my MB g wagon, the doors were constantly freezing shut. I haven’t needed it on my 2nd winter in Alaska with the 3. Just pre heat and I’ve had no issues.

Two questions:
1. does it leave residue on windows when rolled down?
2. did it have any affect on wind noise?

I may give one of these a shot. Seems like it might help in the long term even though I do not live in a cold climate.
