Is anyone other than me getting frustrated with Tesla ? I know it may be childish to be upset that Reservation Numbers significantly higher than mine are getting delivered but it just eats at me.

People just ignore what they're told if they don't like it. TM said early on that reservation #s were only an approximate guide, at best, to delivery sequence.
I can understand the Sig holders getting a little frustrated by out of order deliveries because early delivery is part of the reason they paid the extra cost.... actually it's almost the only reason.
I too would be getting worried about getting my car the day before the P1 guy if my car was being delayed.
Brian is right tho. The paper work did say no position was promised by the res number but that doesn't change the frustration. Hang in there.
bfudge, I certainly understand your frustration but I think from a big picture point of view Tesla needs to be as efficient and streamlined as possible in their production in order to stay on the path to positive cash flow. This means grouping like-optioned vehicles together.
I know you've been waiting an eternity (probably three times longer than me since I'm 4684) but hang in there and know that they are not doing this just to torture you. Tesla is tweaking their production in order to survive these crucial first few years.
The way I see it, when I used to wait in line for event tickets it was easier when the line wasn't moving. When the line starts moving everything tightens up and people get more anxious. This is happening in this virtual reality line also. That being said, I am way far back in the line I joined in June of 2011. You are in the front of the line feeling squeezed at the door. Hang in there & enjoy when you time comes.
I'm not frustrated. I am sure TM is pedaling as fast as they can. It won't be much longer.

Talking to the store people today, they indicated that the real place in line is determined more by what you order rather than reservation number. Your res number is only a spot in line to place your order. Your choices determine when you get your car though I can certainly understand your frustration. We spoke to someone today who had a similar confirguration to ours but is estimated to get his after ours though he wss 300 reservation numbers ahead of us.
1st quality, 2nd quantity! Couldn't be better. But the waiting it's my soul!

Yes, it's killing us too as the car was really fun to drive today. On a funny note, the cars that the stores have now are programmed to not let you go over 80 mph (and yes, it didn't let me!) LOL...i did try though...:)

Bfudge, only special Sigs and family were ahead. A few others may have gotten ahead from cancellations of same configuration. I assure you that my sig 234 is no where in sight. I live in Indiana and it will be arriving by dog sled here. Probably after yours. They have batched some accessories. I am anxious also having waited over 3.5 years from my first deposit.

Configuration time is like sitting on Santa's lap and personally fine tuning your Christmas wish list.
The delivery window notice is like Christmas Eve.
Its still Christmas Eve for me. I suppose once I get my actual delivery date it will be like lying in bed and listening for reindeer hooves on the roof.
I bet delivery day will be even more thrilling than Christmas morning and last much longer.

Shot another to my ownership rep ... his reply:
I just checked in on your account. I don't have an update for you at the moment, but you haven't missed any emails. We are all set for the moment."
Best non answer answer I've seen other than the NO REPLY.
However, my MVPA says October delivery .... hope that was October 2012 they meant.
I didn't have luck with the ownership address either. I got the same response.
But I did have luck with the general information address, reservations@teslamotors. They forwarded my inquiry to someone who had some answers. My previous reps had been re-assigned to other jobs.
Don't get frustrated. If you're not getting satisfaction, send an email to George Blankenship email@example.com. That's what I did. He'll make sure you get a real answer.

Gee, I had trouble bringing myself to bug the reps because I didn't want to take time away from them notifying customers and delivering cars. I couldn't imagine asking for George's time. He's a busy guy in a critical role.
If something isn't right and you aren't getting satisfaction elsewhere, you owe it to yourself, Tesla, and the rest of their customers to contact George B. This is the only way systemic changes can be made to improve the experience for everyone.
Also it gives GB big incentive to keep everything running smoothly otherwise his mailbox gets flooded :-)
I think he already has plenty of motivation to see Tesla succeed. I just don't want to interfere with him getting that job done.

I'm glad Tesla is sequencing the cars. If not, deliveries would be much, much slower. And then you'd really have something to complain about.
It's not like George is haggling with the suppliers or cracking the whip over the assembly line. He's in charge of the Ownership Experience.

What keeps me hanging in is... passion & patience.
While I would also qualify myself as passionate and patient, Ì unfortunately realized only recently that the Tesla Model S is not a $50K car, not even a $75K car, it is a $100K car even if you go for the 60kWh pack.
67,400 + pano + leather + active air + delivery
then all the "non-planned" fees:
8-10% pricier in Canada vs US on base and options
1,900 for maintenance
2,000 for Supercharger
+tx = a hefty $97K
Very sad but I now fear the moment that I will receive my "It's time to build your model S" email. Because I might have to take the decision to run away. :-(
pbrulott....leather is included in Canadian price. Did you deduct Quebec's rebate?
I did net out the leather in the 8-10% (12% when leather in). I was going to take leather anyway. And I didn't remove the Qc rebate though.
My post was just a high level statement that it ain't a 50 or 75K car (whatever TM says), it is a 100K car with a reduce TCO but still very very expensive when everything is included. And we haven't seen all the options coming out yet (connectivity package, storage,...). I had to get rid of the Tech Package to compensate for the Canadian pricing rip off. Since then we had to chip in maintenance 1,900 and now supercharger access of $2k (US price). I more and more feel the car will be missing some very basic features you find in 40-50K cars but will cost me a fortune anyway that Ican't justify with TCO.
pbrulott.....I too am deleting the tech package for the same reason. I expect to use the model S a lot and am therefore getting the 85 kWh battery and air suspension. Cost....$87,500 plus tax plus maintenance package minus Quebec rebate. I am almost 64 and I expect the model S to outlast me.
My wife is thinking of getting a Smart Fortwo EV. We both bought some Tesla stock.
