What is the generally accepted practice for flat tire management when on the road?
I have one of these is my S: http://shop.teslamotors.com/collections/model-s/products/tire-repair-kit... haven't needed it yet. Don't own a spare but would probably consider having one on-hand if I were to go on a long drive in a remote area.
Of course every auto pars store carries one of these.
but why not make it official Tesla?
price is reasonable.
Be aware that Tesla wants you to get another TPMS sensor after using its sealant.
It's also news to me that TPMS sensors are not cover under warranty as stated in the description.
While airless tires are not qualified for freeway speeds and heavy loads yet, they are headed that way.
Look for non-pneumatic or airless tires.
