Just learned a cool trick using Siri on IPhone!
Try asking Siri “Hey Siri how many miles left on my car?”
It will answer you in percent left and range in miles.
yep i just tried it. after giving siri access to the car/app it worked. neat.
very cool thanks for the tip
Can't yet activate climate control, but here are funtions it accepts:
Is my car locked?
lock/unlock my car
flash the lights on my car
honk the horn on my car
where is my car?
how much charge in my car?
Also works on iwatch with Siri watch face. Hey Siri, unlock my car...This could be the KIT version of the 3. :)
If you have an android, the following commands work:
get charge status
get car status
get climate status
turn climate on
warm up my car
cool my car
set driver temperature to 72
set passenger side to 73
honk the horn
turn climate off
how warm is my car
how cold is my car
dude where's my car
get ready to take off
how far can I drive
how far can I go
whats your name
set charge limit to 85 percent
start charging to 90 percent
whats the charge limit
lock the car
unlock the car
To set it up just say, "Hey Google, talk to EV Car" and it'll walk you through linking to your Tesla account.
Very nice tip, thank you!
@MalibuRed this doesn't require the Siri watch face to work--Siri is invoked on the watch by long-pressing the crown no matter what watch face you have set.
Also it's just Watch (or Apple Watch); there is no "iWatch" =P
Looks like tesla has more android developers than iOS
gotta try this one.
"You can use Siri to tell you what is already present on the screened." - amazed Apple fan by Apple "feature"
That’s great, thanks for the tip! I didn’t know about that. Cool that it works with the watch too :)
Is all this stuff documented anywhere?
Is Alexa in on the fun and games? Alexa worked with my BMW i3.
would love to be able to have Siri open the Frunk ...
If you say "Hey Siri, set car temperature to xx degrees" Siri responds, "I wish I could but Tesla hasn't set that up with me yet." and gives you an open Tesla button. So, Tesla, this is on *you* :-)
Very cool thank you for sharing
What!? How come Siri can do so little compared to androids?
@ebmcs03 It’s surprising since Apple has opened up Siri to developers.
Do these commands work on the MS?
Whoa how cool would it be to say "Alexa/Siri, summon my car" before work and walk out with the garage open and car on the driveway. Lazy, I know (because how hard is it to open the app and do that), but I don't care :)
Not working for me, Pixel phone running Pie.
Takes my account info, gives token, claims successful connection.
Still wants to link, does not take commands.
what are all the commands that work with iOS?
I got logged in, but any time I use it "EV Car is not responding try again soon" is my response.

@MichaelB00012 and arkreymer:
https://assistant.google.com/services/a/id/5a33fba4f93f74bc check out that link. Its been working for most people recently.
This is the TMC forum discussing it. It was originally an Alexa skill and they added google assistant relatively recently, but it should be working for you: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/ev-car-an-alexa-skill-for-amazon...
there seems to be a big difference between the amount of iOS and Android commands
Is there a Siri command to set up the climate in the car? To turn it on or set it to XX degrees?
BGIRARD, yes, use Siri shortcuts to enable climate control, etc. However, I believe so far it requires the use of the Remote S app, which I believe is $10. I don't believe there is a way of doing it through the Tesla native app, at least yet.
"Hey Cortana, turn on my Tesla."
Cortana: "I pulled up some videos for you" [actual response]
Great - that's all I do already is look at YouTube videos about the model 3 while I wait for mine to arrive. So, I tried to be more specific.
"Hey Cortana, Turn on my Tesla Model 3."
Cortana: "I'm turning on the HGRP-0000000030" [actual response]
Ummm… ok. Either a Cortana developer is working on adding this feature or there is a Model 3 in the factory that just went on. I can't say I'm thrilled with the name someone chose for mine.
Come on Microsoft, first you give up on Zune and now on my Cortana Invoke.
My iPhone states “to complete this request, you’ll need to open Tesla first”. When I open the Tesla app, nothing else happens. Is there some setting I need to enable? Thanks.
I have the same problem as Red Raven. Anyone have any insight?
I also have the same problem as Red Raven and Jayviator, but I was able to tell Siri to lock my car and ask other commands until the other day when it stopped working. Now it is also telling me to open the Tesla app first. I checked all my settings and nothing changed. Looking for insight too.
Same problem Siri tells me to open the Tesla app.... what I’m I missing?
Dunno, since I don't have my car yet, but I'd check all of your settings to make sure the Tesla app is allowed to accept commands, etc.
Same problem here. Did something change?
I'm still having the same issue as you guys in Nov and Dec. Anyone have any success in the meantime?
I too had this issue. I found the solution on this website:http://www.sirihacks.net/. Try it out, It might help you too.
I tried this on my siri, it gives me the same answer as you said. Really Awesome. What I like the most is I said him open website it opened this website I don't know how. http://fastmodapk.com
Hey if anyone is still getting an error about opening the Tesla app, make sure you go into settings on the iPhone, then Siri and Search, then scroll down to the Tesla app and turn on “Use with Ask Siri”. Turned mine on and it works perfectly.
nice tip... thank you
I don't have a napple
Am I the only one who hates more talking than doing it silently
Thanks for the interesting tip though
